Exclamation Converting Powerpoint into Fully Accessable PDFs

I am trying to create a PDF of a PowerPoint file with full accessibility with no errors. I am currently using Microsoft Office 2010, and checking the web accessibility with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.

Advanced>Accessibility>Full Check

However when I bring it over to PDF from PowerPoint, none of the images retain or register as having alternate text. As being a PowerPoint, I find that a lot of the images that don't need alternate text, such as the various segments of the background, register as requiring alternate text. I have tried actually following the prompts and giving alternate text to some images, but they still register as not having any.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks

Have you tried the both ways: from power Point, save as PDF, or print to Adobe PDF virtual printer?

To retain the Accessibility I have been inform you need to do the following.

File>Save & Send>Create PDF/XPS Document
I check the right boxes in the options; "Document structure tags for Accessibility"

To transfer the Alt Text for Accessibility issues, this has been the primary way to go by this listed on the web.

I might try that, but still working the PDF after it is made isn't helping ether.
I guess I can always give that a try.

you can take a look at :http://webaim.org/techniques/acrobat/converting
and http://webaim.org/techniques/powerpoint/#create
you will find what you need... But If the image does not have alternative text, it will typically be skipped by a screen reader. the accesibility check will give errors to all images with no alternative text, but not all are useful to screen readers, some of them you should leave them as is...
