Default How to convert Powerpoint presentation to video?

Hi,

I have been searching this for hours but I couldn't find a solution.

I have a presentation with linked audio file and I want to convert it into a video file (avi, mpeg whatever.) All the software I found are either paid or they don't convert audio or they add their notice in the video.

Is there a free solution or this?

Hi
To the best of my knowledge you cannot convert a PowerPoint presentation to a movie. What you have to do is start Movie Maker and then run through the PowerPoint presentation at the speed which you need to run it. Then stop recording the movie and then you have the presentation in Movie format.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

There are many software that does the conversion as I mentioned in the first post. But they are either paid or have watermarks or problems. For example I tried the free version of http://www.effectmatrix.com/PowerPoi...rter/index.htm but it didn't work perfectly.

You don't need any program to convert presentation to video if you use power point 2010, you can save it as wmv format. Goto file menu - Save as - then choose from (Save as type): Windows Media Video.

That's OK from PP2010, but I'm also trying to find how to do it from PP2007, which doesn't have the File command?

Unhappy Create DVD video with PowerPoint 2010

I am trying to create a PowerPoint 2010 video/DVD which has over 300 slides with approximately 60 songs embedded in the slides. Each song is set to play automatically across anywhere from 3 to 10 slides depending on the slide in which it is embedded. The slideshow plays perfectly on my Windows 7 Professional computer. I created a CD that also plays perfectly on my computer. But, when trying to create the DVD, which takes a few hours of time, only the first song on the first slide plays back. If I do a Preview first, it also plays perfectly. I would like to upload that video to Dropbox for friends to download. Does anyone have any ideas on the steps to accomplish this? It's not just a simple File/Save As/ Windows Media Video.

Yes, PPT does have the File/Save & Send/Create Video capability. I have tried every option available, but my video (.wmv file) only plays the first song across the first 10 slides, as I had chosen in the Animation pane under Effect Options for the first song. When slide #11 comes up and the second song should begin to play, nothing plays. The second song should play across 10 slides as well and so forth. I have 60+ songs embedded across 300+ slides. If you know what is wrong, please advise.

I would like to try to help with that. If you want you can send me a chopped down version and let me take a stab at it.
