Question PowerPoint Master - 50 LINKED slides - SLOW Update

I have a MASTER .ppt presentation comprised entirely of 50 LINKS to 50 individual .ppt files. That's all the master .ppt presentation is; all links.

Each link is to one .ppt file with only ONE slide per file. Within that one slide is a LINK to one .jpg file. It's a long story, but its how we have to do it when it's 50 people updating their 50 individual slides and graphs.

The MASTER brings them all in perfectly, is issue/QUESTION is; is there some vba code or some options to select that will make the update of the MASTER faster? It takes about 30 minutes to do the 50 LINKS. Again, it works great, it's just slow and we're seeing if there's something out there to speed it up.

Also, anything out there that tells you quickly which LINK is no longer valid?

Thanks in advance,
Shawn...
