Default Slide Show Will Not Update

I created a slideshow of around 70 slides as a framework, and have been going back into the slideshow making tweaks. Things seemed to work fine up until I began to remove slides altogether, to be replaced with updated, better versions.

Suddenly, I cannot remove and/or add new slides into my slideshow. Any adjustments I make do not reflect in either the previews of the slideshow or when running the slideshow itself.

I am able to make modifications to existing slides, but unable to add or even remove old slides. Even after saving with the old slides completely removed, they still show up after I run the new slideshow. It is as if none of my slide insertions/removals are recognized.

I am also unable to simply switch two or more slides' order. It's driving me insane and I cannot figure out why.

I used an Add-In (TM Randomize Slideshow) to help me randomize slide order at certain points; when saving using this Add-In, a choice in the randomizer was "save random slideshow", which I selected.

I need this ppt complete in two days and thought I was a day away until I ran into this yesterday.
