Default HELP! Powerpoint is changing my RGB values!

Hi all,

I'm having difficulty applying a corporate brand RGB colour in Powerpoint.

Here's what's happening:

1. I have a specified rgb value to enter.

2. I enter it in the rgb sliders in 'More Colours' with the colour space sRGB selected (the icon just to the left of the sliders). Powerpoint's default is Generic RGB which makes my colour washed out.

3. With the sRGB colour space selected, I click OK. But when I go back in, I see that PPT has automatically shifted my colour values.

The newer shifted colour DOES look more closer to the corporate colour I'm trying to match, however the RGB values are not what's specified in the corporate brand guide.

Question: WHY DOES IT SHIFT? Is it simply b/c it is making it more websafe?
