Thanks again Tony, that link is also pretty interesting but still not a solution for me
![]() The documents that I produce are converted into pdf format for a number of reasons so links to files won't work for me. I also have to print out documents. Setting the slide selection to a negative number would be ideal for me but having looked through various stuff online it doesn't appear to be possible to do this. Thanks for the help though ![]() Bryan |

Hi Bryan
Is there any particular reason why you are using PowerPoint if you have to print them to pdf. Would it not be easier if you used MS Word where you could split the document into Sections and have differing numering styles in each section. For example the first section could be the Amendments section with page numbering such as i, ii, iii, iv, v iv etc and in the section sections you would have your main document with numbering such as 1,2 3 4 5 6 7 etc. Would this resolve your issue? ![]() When I started the job I was told to use powerpoint as that was the only thing available to me at the time and I have just stuck with it ever since. To be honest it's pretty useful for what I want to do and it's far better for managing placement of pictures than work is in my opinion. I have uploaded an example which is closer to the actual documents that I create to give a better understanding. I print them to pdf to reduce file size for storage of the electronic versions available through our company server and also to ensure that they can't be edited. Bryan |

Hi Bryan
MS Word is much easier to do this. I will look at it on Monday night and get back to you with a sample. Tony (OTPM) |

Hi Bryan
As promised please find herewith a copy of your catalogue in MS Word 2003. The page numbering for the amendments pages are in roman numerals and the main document is in normal page numbering format. Extra lines in the amendment page are added by clicking in the last cell of the amendments table and pressing <TAB>. Table headings for the Amendments page are automatically repeated for each amendments page. Hope this helps. Tony (OTPM) |

Hi Bryan
Sorry I forgot to attach the sample catalogue. It was created in Microsoft Word format and saved as a pdf. Tony(OTPM) |

Hi Tony,
Looking at your example this does seem like a good way of formatting the documents, unfortunately this would mean that I would need to re-write over 300 documents and that's just not going to be possible... I guess for now I'm stuck so will just need leave things as they are. Thanks for the help, Bryan |
