I am trying to weigh out the pro's and con's for training in a company based on either a Seminar or by a book/DVDs. Which would you say is better considering the margins?

For seminars, what are good companies/organizations and what are the prices I can expect? Are there any that are based in the Chicagoland Area? Are there books/dvds that are equivalent to seminars?

Any insight on training intermediate/beginers on PowerPoint would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance.
