Default Missing Slides

I am running: OS Mac X (10.6), MS PowerPoint 2011, version 14.0.2

I had completed presentation of 60 slides. Went to open it and received an error message with the option to repair it. The only way to get it open turned out to be repair and I clicked it. Found one graphic (photo) that was causing the problem. Eliminated it with no difficulty.

But after when the presentation opened all the slides after the one with the corrupted photo were gone -- over 20 slides....!!

I have a copy of the original file/presentation on a DVD. So the data is there, but as it is a "corrupted file" it too cannot be opened except in after being repaired -- and when it does the slides after the one with the corrupted photo are "missing".

Is there anyway to recover these missing slides?

Thank you,

Lucca
