Default Monitoring "Record Narration"?

Hi we have been using Record Narration to record lectures for our correspondance students, but have had some problems where the sound is not always recorded. This is because of a number of reasons including hardware issues and human error. After recording an 1-1.5hr lecture, it is heart breaking to hear that you have to go back and rerecord. Before each lecture I have been checking the equipment and soundlevels etc but I need a solution were any of the lecturers can see right away if the sound is being recorded (ie. sound level indication or of the like).

Is there an add on or even another program that might be used to record these powerpoint presentation where the lecturers can see that sound is being received and recorded while the presentation is occuring?

Cheers
K

Try doing your narration in Movie Maker or some other program and then add it to your presentation as a sound. Go to timing for this sound and have it play for "X" slides where X is the number of slides in your presentation. Use "Advance Slide" option if necessary to keep place with your added narration.
