Hello all,
We just installed PPT 2010 on our computers and I cannot seem to get the video shapes and effects to stick. Theshapes and effects will show up while I'm in the slide edit view but the video itself jumps in front of everything (including the shapes and effects) when I play the video or view the slideshow.
Anybody know what's going on here?

What ppt were you using when that did work? I use 2007 and have always had that problem.

I also upgraded from 2007. I figured out the problem.
The file I was working in was originally created using 2007. So all I had to do was create a new presentation in 2010 and copy/paste the old slides into the new file. Videos now work when inserted into this new 2010 file.
