hide ghosted controls

I have created a presentation in Powerpoint 2003 SP3 with my own navigational controls. I would like to hide the ghosted controls which are located in the bottom left of the page.

I can't find a way to hide or disable them. Any help would be appreciated.

I switched slideshow to Kiosk mode. Ghosted semi transparent controls are now hidden.
