Video compression in XP vs Windows 7?
I have been having a problem going between Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems with my PowerPoints containing video.
It seems that the two operating systems compress my wmv. video files differently. On the XP when I play my slide show the video looks as it does if played outside of PowerPoint like in windows media player, but when play the slide show in PowerPoint on windows 7 it compresses the video by making it dull where whites become gray and black areas become lighter. Does anyone one know how to fix this problem? It would be nice if the video played on widows 7 platform as it does on XP. Appreciate any help. Thanks |

Maybe there is some problems with your video. You can compress the video before adding it to PowerPoint.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I have already tried compressing the video outside of PowerPoint with no luck. Maybe I'm not compressing it the right way, not sure what the fix is.
