Issues with PowerPoint Shortcut Keys in Hardware Controller - in Edit Mode

Hi,

Trying to set-up a hardware express keys type controller with PP
Am entering keystrokes fine, but the results are very variable
eg Alt+W,D = start presentation or is sometimes

Issue recurrs with 2 different controllers

W11. O365

Any tips gratefully received
