Default PPT loses resource path to embedded video?????

Im using ppt 2007 pc windows XP.
I successfully converted video to wmv and have embedded with the drag and drop tool and the developer tool, and everything runs fine, but when I come back the next day and run the show, the presentation gives a warning that the video files are missing???
I guarantee u nothing has changed. I have a directory with the pptx file and the video inside...no spaces in the name etc.... Also everything will work locally but when I zip it and upload and download... the video cant be found???

I tried saving as ppts, ppsx with no luck. They all work but then suddenly stop working?
Any suggestions????

Ive tried embeding with a basic path video.wmv, but when i move the file and open on new machine the path becomes C:video.wmv which is obviously wrong!
OK u pc windows geeks!lol! how do I create a relative path here that is portable???? I also tried ./video.wmv but this becomes C:video.wmv but of course all absolute urls work http:mydomain etc...

HELP!

thanks!
