avi file wont play in Powerpoint 2010? :(
Hi everyone!
I am struggling so much. I have just reformatted my laptop and installed the new Microsoft Office 2010. I have around 10 avi movie files (all around 3 minutes each), which I need to play through slides in Powerpoint. Before reformatting I had Powerpoint 2007 and even though the movies played fine, because my laptop needed clearing they were playing a little slow. However, since I have reformatted and installed 2010 Powerpoint, when I now insert my movies and click play - they just wont play at all and then the program freezes. My sister has a new laptop, same spec as mine but she is working from Windows 7 and not Vista (mine is Vista) and the movies play absolutely fine on hers! So would I be correct in saying that it may be a codec problem Powerpoint is having in recognising the avi file on my laptop? I have tried almost everything but nothing seems to make it play! Any suggestions/advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks |

Is there another file format you can try to insert, and see how that works?
