msteinruck is on a distinguished road
Default Inputting Sound files - 2 options, neither working.

My goal:
Interactive, non-linear show with a voice-over on each slide.

I need both:
  • To play the sound each time the slide is accessed, and
  • To stop the previous sound then the new slide is accessed.

I've tried:
Inputting a wav file as a "transition."

Result:
File plays on each slide, but (if another slide is accessed before the current sound is finished), the previous sound does not stop.

(In the "Slide transition" dropdown, I can either "stop previous sound" or start a new sound, but not both.)

OR:
Inputting a wav as a sound object, and using the object controls.

Result:

The file plays when the slide is accessed the first time,
but upon returning to the slide, the sound will not play again unless the show is restarted.

I've tried ticking "Rewind" in the object options, but cannot get the file to replay.

So....I'm caught.

What am I missing?
