Powerpoint found a problem with content
Hi
My wife created a presentation in PP 2010 on her XP based computer. It contained about 8 slides with photos, text and background colour. She was working on it, editing it, and saved it last night (as a .ppt file). This morning when she opened it, the above message came up with an option to repair, which didn't work - just refused to open. Copied the same file to my Win 7 based computer and PP 2010 again gave the same message. Copied the file to a computer with an earlier version of Powerpoint, and it opened fine. Did a "save as" from there to another name, but PP 2010 still refused to open it. Then opened it in Openoffice (successfully) and resaved it, and this resaved file WILL open in PP 2010. Googling on the error message brings up situations where it has occurred with files downloaded from the internet, but this is from a file that she has created herself. Anyone got any ideas why this should have happened and how to fix the error? Many thanks |
