Text box which populates another text box on another slide
Hi,
Is there a way to duplicate the text input in a text box on one slide and get that same text appearing across other text boxes within the same PowerPoint while editing? Thanks, MrH. |

The short answer is no simple way. It is possible to write code to do this but if you want it to work in edit view it would be a lot of code.

Are you aware of Slide Masters? This is the feature normally used to repeat the same content across multiple slides.
If your slide masters included a text box such as a Footer then you could edit the text in all footers without visiting the Master Pages themselves.

Hi,
There is a free addin called "Heron PowerPoint Addin" that (among other things) does pretty much what you are asking for. It has a feature called "dynamic links" that allows you to put a series of shapes on one slide and then have them duplicated on other slides. With a click any updates on any of the slides will cascade through all relevant slides. You will find the instructions for it a few moments into the following clip on YouTube: Free PowerPoint Add-in to boost everyday productivity - YouTube Hope it helps! |
