Caught in an infinite loop Office is installing...
hi,
I have got a problem with Office Porf 2016, that I cannot solve. I am using a huge "presentation" of about 400 slides (just for myself) to store / retrieve graphical information. Since a couple of months, whenever I load my presentation Office brings a pop-up with "loading necessary installation files..." and after a while " please reboot to finalize installation" After the reboot, I get the pop up again... and it never stops. There is surely something wrong in my huge file, but I get absolutely no information on what it could have been. I have tried to save the presentation as ODP and read back again, but that does not help. Is somebody aware on log files or something else to be able to trace down the problem to the responsible slide? Thank you very much Last edited by RIN67630; 12-17-2020 at 07:49 PM. |

Just an additional information.
I can stop the installation upon closing the window, aborting the installtion. Then i can use my "presentation" and absolutely all slides are showing up normally. But next time i load the file the circus begins again. I have tried reinstalling Office, nothing helps. |
