Default Navigation with Hyperlinks and Animation

Hello,

I really hope someone can help me.

I made an interactive PowerPoint with a menu-button. If I click the button, the navigation points appear and when I click it again they disappear. (Made with a simple animation.)

I want to keep the menu always "closed", so I have to click on the button every time to see the navigation points. However, if I click on a navigation point and come back to the slide where I started the menu is still open.

Is there a way to close the menu automatically when I leave the slide?

You could try this:
- Make a slide with the menu button, not clickable
- Second slide: copy of the first one, but menu button clickable to open nav points
- Set transition of first slide to 'Advance Slide: After 00:00' (= go to Transitions tab, uncheck On Mouse Click and check After...)
- Make sure that when you go back from any slide to the menu slide, you go to the first one and not the second one

This is a good idea. Sadly I can't use this. My presentation has more than 100 slides and using your suggestion would add too many extra slides to the presentation. (The menu is on every slide.)

I already tried using auto-disappear after a few seconds, but when I move to the next slide the counter stops. (When I get back to the previous slide the menu is still visible till the counter runs out.)

Can this help? See attached:
- Clicking the menu button makes all nav points fly in
- Clicking any of the nav points makes all nav points fly out

You will notice the disappearing bit when revisiting the slide, so it's not a very 'beautiful' solution, but maybe it can help you out or make you think of other ideas.

Thanks!

I already had this approach, but I also used the menu field as a trigger for both animations and so it didn't work smoothly.
(I had to click the trigger twice to get the menu to appear.)

I can't close the menu on the same slide without leaving it, but I can live with that.

Thank you very much!

You could add an extra button and some extra triggers as attached
