how to embed video in a slide in MS powepoint 2007

Plz help
I want to embed suitable video files in my slides
So that when slide opens the video will play automatically.

I had done it in MSoffice powerpoint 2003 succesfully.
but it is not working in 2007.

You cannot EMBED video in either 2003 or 2007 this feature was added in 2010. You can LINK though. Not sure why you cannot get it to play automatically as the method is pretty well the same as in 2003. What have you tried.

In Office 2003 I had put MS- PPT and related videos for corresponding slides in a folder.
It had worked fine.
with auto slide play, corresponding video will play without a hitch and go to next slide.

But in 2007 this not happening.

Plz suggest how to link and correct format for videos to play in 2007 ppt
