Inserting Card Symbols
I need to frequently insert card symbols into my Powerpoint Bridge tutorials.
When I used PPT 2010, I was able to program my numberpad 3,4,5,6 keys so that Alt-3 inserted a Heart symbol ♥, etc. I can't do it in PPT 2016. The 'More symbols' function is not available. Could someone please point me to directions on another way to do it? Many Thanks, Jim Berglund Calgary, AB |

Are you sure you don't mean WORD. AFAIK More symbols / Shortcut keys has never been available in any version of PowerPoint

You can get your card symbols via Insert > Symbols > Symbol > Font > Scroll to Symbol.
Locate the required symbols and either d/click to insert, or select > Insert. Alternatively, you can press the Numlock Key, then press the Alt + 3 keys for a Heart, the Alt + 4 keys for a Diamond, the Alt + 5 keys for a Club and the Alt + 6 keys for a Spade. Note the symbols are are little different when using the keyboard method. |
