Default How to embed audio (not link) in PP2013?

I'm finding tons of instructions online for how to insert the audio file, but the only instructions I can find for embedding all refer to menus I don't seem to have Powerpoint 2013. I've read that if I right-click on the audio icon, I should have an option to 'Edit Sound Object', but that item doesn't appear in the menu that pops up. Another instruction says I can go to Tool / Options and click the General tab to find an option to link sounds larger than a specified size, but I don't see a Tools / Options. The only Option i'm finding is from the File page, in the right column. I see a General tab, and I've searched it, as well as searching all the other tabs, and see no option to specify embedding of audio. Could anyone please help me embed audio in PPT 2013? Thank you for your help!

Those instructions are mainly for versions BEFORE 2010. In 2013 the default is to embed most sound files so basically you just need to insert them.

Thank you, John. I used the Embed option while importing the file, and it plays for me here, yet my client says the audio doesn't play for him. I'm embedding an MP3 using PPT on Windows 7, and he's playing it back on a Mac. Anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the problem? Thank you!

I'm not really a Mac person but AFAIK Macs with a modern version of PowerPoint (2011 on) should play embedded mp3 files.

My copy of 2016/365 on a Macbook Pro with High Sierra certainly does.

I would check which version of Office they have
