disappearing comments
PowerPoint 2010 … I reviewed a .pptx for a colleague, and used Comments to add (obviously enough) my comments. That was earlier in the week. I open the file today to check, and while the comment markers are there they now contain no content. What's going on?

I've even looked at the xml: not promising, as all I get (for every comment) is timestamp and location details
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <p:cmLst xmlns:a="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/drawingml/2006/main" xmlns:r="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/of.../relationships" xmlns:p="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/presentationml/2006/main"><p:cm authorId="1" dt="2018-06-05T09:15:57.149" idx="5"><p:pos x="2100" y="1464"/><p:text/></p:cm><p:cm authorId="1" dt="2018-06-05T09:16:21.278" idx="6"><p:pos x="2832" y="1986"/><p:text/></p:cm><p:cm authorId="1" dt="2018-06-05T09:16:50.575" idx="7"><p:pos x="858" y="2484"/><p:text/></p:cm><p:cm authorId="1" dt="2018-06-05T09:17:18.632" idx="8"><p:pos x="4890" y="2484"/><p:text/></p:cm></p:cmLst> |

The bad news is if the p:text node is empty the comment has gone.
You might try right click the file and look for previous versions but if you did the work in a single day they are unlikely to be any. |
