Hello - i have removed mathtype from office applications - 2016, all worked fine except for power point - where now upon opening, i get the message "for some reason power point could not load ......mathtype...pam addin
I have checked on options - addins - power point, and mathtype does not appear, yet the message persists
when i click ok i can open the ppt file - but i would like to remove this screen message
word and excel have no issue

In my experience Math Type sometimes leaves an auto load registry key which points to the now removed addin and causes this error.

If you know how to search the registry search the HKLM hive for MathType Addin. If the key exists delete it.

If you are confident working in the registry the key is likely to be at :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\ Office\16.0\PowerPoint\AddIns\MathType AddIn

If you are not sure about deleting the key double click and change the value of AutoLoad to 0 which will prevent it trying to load.

Sorry it seems complicated but it is!
