Duplicating textbox to other slides
Hi I am making a Powerpoint document for students. The document will have slides that have information, links, videos,... as well as a place for the students to write their own responses while the presentation is playing. I have worked out how to do that by using the Developer ribbon and the Text Box (ActiveX Control). What I would like to do is get the text from each of these textboxes to duplicate automatically to a textbox set up on another slide which would be set up more like a form. I would like to collect each student responses in a more compact form (one or two slides). I'm pretty sure that there is some way of doing this using VBA. I hope this makes sense. I know in my head what I want to do but just not sure if I have made is clear. Thanks in advance |

Have a look at this and see if it's what you mean. If it is you should be able to adapt fairly easily.

Hi John
Thanks for replying so quickly. I don't seem to be able to get it to work properly. When I play the slideshow and type into the textbox on the first slide it doesn't copy into the textbox on the second slide. Thanks again |

It's not supposed to do that. Type in both of the activx textboxes and it should build up a full record on the last slide.

Thanks, John.
I will try it again in the morning. I shouldn't try this late at night. Cheers |

Hi John,
I would like to type text into multiple text boxes on Slide 1 and then have this text automatically replicated in other text boxes on following slides (similar to your demo, but appearing in separate text boxes rather than the one text box). Can you please advise how to do this? I am highly capable with PowerPoint, but not a developer so a step by step outline would be hugely advantageous. Many thanks in advance |
