Trouble with me animations
Hi.
I've got a PowerPoint which I want to use as an information document for end users of SharePoint. There are several options to the advice given in the document and I've created a little graphic that indicates (by its design) that if you click on it, you'll get more information. When they click on it (and only when they click on it) I want the associated callout to pop onto screen). Now when someone hasn't clicked on it, or, when they move the cursor away after having clicked on it and read it, or when they open the document fresh, I don't want them to see the associated callout - not until they click on the more info graphic. I really hope this makes sense!!! What I've got at the moment is my beautiful document, most of which is covered by these four fairly large callouts full of detailed explanatory text. Can I actually achieve what I want to achieve or is it that I'm just using the wrong thing to do it in?? |

I can see that if I run it as a slideshow, it starts off without the callouts and when I click the trigger graphic the callout appears. This would be alright, however, let's say the user clicks the Option 4 graphic which then pops up, is there a way to make that one close when they click the Option 3, 2 or 1 graphic? So that there's only ever one callout open at the time and the user could cycle between them individually? Is that possible?

Hi JohnWilson and thank you for your reply.
I do kinda see how to do it but also haven't been able to do it on mine for a couple of reasons: 1. I don't quite understand why those settings for the first animation 2. I need to apply the settings you have to the trigger object that I need to use and i can't see how to change which item it points to. I should probably also say that there is no requirement for the callouts with the detailed info inside them to appear or be clicked in any specific order at all. The user will click on which ever option they think they're most interested in in a random way and probably go back and forth between them several times. I've added in a stripped out version of the document and wondered if there was any chance that you could look at this actual one and do a quick tweak (if you were up for that of course!) - I hope I've managed to attach it ok. Be really grateful to hear back and apologies for being unable to resolve it from your first reply (a genuine case of, it's not you, it's me!!). |

When you have complex triggers the first animations make sure the slide starts with NO callouts visible.
Sadly I do not think it is possible (at least not without VERY complex animations) to have BOTH a second click removing the current callout AND a click on another item removing any visible item. It's really one or the other |
