Default Formulas in PowerPoint

Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible to to use excel formulas in PowerPoint?
Also, is it possible to set the order of slides up using a tree diagram?

I am trying to make a 'turn to page x' story where you can name your own characters and so I'd like to have a formula that says 'replace Character1 with Name1' and then you can click 'continue journey' or 'go into room' at the bottom of the slide to take you to different slides.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Jake
