How to align ALL pictures in ALL slides to the top?

I have created a presentation in PPT 2010 and inserted a photo album with 175 pictures on different slides. I simply want to align all the pictures on all the slides to the top of the slide. But I can find no way to do this in a "batch" way so that I don't have to manually go through all 175 slides to align the pics.

How can I align all pictures to the top of all slides at the same time?!?!?!

This is the kind of thing that drives me nuts about software. You can't find the simplest things...

Unfortunately it is not simple. The only way would be to use vba code

Assuming you added one image per slide this code might do it

Code:

Sub fix_album()

Dim osld As Slide
Dim opic As Shape
For Each osld In ActivePresentation.Slides
For Each opic In osld.Shapes
If opic.Type = msoPicture Then
opic.Top = 0
End If
Next
Next
End Sub

Thanks for the reply. Could you explain more how to use vba code (macro?)? I tried something similar but I somehow didn't do it right and couldn't get the macro to run.

1. copy just the code from line Sub fix_album to End Sub
2. Use a copy of your presentation just in case!
3. In PPT Alt f11 to open the VB editor
4. Insert >> Module
5. paste in the code
6. f5 to run the code

Hi, there's also a third-party app letting you to align the pictures in your PowerPoint presentation, having one or several pictures per page arranged automatically and more:

There is a free full featured trial version available.
For aligning the pictures specifically to top, select Edit/Settings/Top Center.
