"mass" layout fixes using Macros (Visual Basic)
Our agency just updated the approved PowerPoint template for everyone to use. We are a large agency, with over 3500 employees. There are a lot of presentations created, including budgets, public involvement, promotional, etc.
I designed the new template, but many of our employees will want to bring slides from old presentations into the new template. I can help them import the slides, but there are many problems that must be fixed manually (alignment of the text boxes, bullet styles, etc.) Importing correctly fixes many of the problems (font, size, color), but not nearly all of them. The biggest problems continue to be that slide headings used to be white text over a blue bar. Those text heading still appear white (over white) after we import them. Also, the text boxes are not aligned the way our new slide master has them set up. I need help writing a macro that will go through each slide, grab the existing text boxes, and resize them to fit the updated style. I also need the macro to check all slide headers, fix fonts, font sizes, font colors if needed - and resize that header box if needed. There are far too many manual adjustments needed, and I need to build a quick fix for our employees. Thanks! |
