Default Embedded mp4 video only showing a corner

I have a 1280x720 mp4 video that I'm inserting into a Powerpoint 2010 file using Insert | Video | Video from file. When I insert it only the top left corner of the video displays as shown in the attachment. It's like the rest of the image is cut off. Resizing and moving doesn't change anything. What's shown is what moves or resizes. When the video plays a portion of the right and bottom is cut off. What can I do to get the video to fit when I insert it?

We have experienced problems in the past with several mp4 files in PPT2010 (might depend on way of coding to mp4). Is there any chance you could convert to wmv to check if that helps?
