Default Custom colours not identifying dark from light

Hi,

I am trying to change some existing templates with new theme colours.

I have the following:

Text/Background - Dark 1 RGB: 0, 0, 0 8 (Black)
Text/Background - Light 1 RGB: 255, 255, 255 (White)
Text/Background - Dark 2 RGB: 26, 31, 86 (Dark Blue)
Text/Background - Light 1 RGB: 7, 170, 239 (Light blue)

When I apply these colours, the light slides update accordingly, however the colours on the dark slides do not update correctly as the Text is Dark Blue and not Light blue. I have had to update the dark slides manually in the slide master.

I don't believe that I should have to do this, but quite honestly, I am not entirely sure how PPT detects if it is a dark or light slide and how it knows which text colour to apply to which slide.

Can you please help as I will have a lot of templates to change in the near future?

Thanks
Caz
