Videos won't play in PPT 2010, on Windows 10
Hello,
I am having trouble playing videos in Powerpoint 2010. I am running Windows 10, have a GTX 980 GPU installed in my machine, and my videos drivers are fully up to date. The video file inserted is a WMV file, but I've also tried other formats with the same result. Once the video is inserted, the preview image shows up, and once you hit play only the audio will play. It does not show the video at all. I've tried disabling hardware acceleration in Powerpoint, but had no luck. I've seen other resolutions online having to do with disabling hardware acceleration on the OS itself, but I don't think that's possible in Windows 10 (or i just haven't come across how to do it). I've been able to take the same ppt file onto another machine (Windows 7, Powerpoint 2010), and the video played without issue. In fact, it only seems to be a problem on any Windows 10 machines I've tried. Has anyone run into similar issues? Or have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help! |
