Default How to choose (specific ie. not ALL) multiple objects with keyboard shortcut

Hi all

I am trying to figure out if there is a shortcut way to choose multiple objects in PowerPoint.

So if I have e.g. 5 shapes and I am using the ALT + ARROW shortcut to select through the different shapes, however what I want to do is:
to keep the shapes selected as I move to the next, so I am able to choose e.g. the first 3 shapes and format them in the same way, instead of having to use the mouse SHIFT + LEFT CLICK (MOUSE)

I have googled but haven't found a way.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
