Default PowerPoint 2016 changing toolbars & ribbons to be vertical

Is it possible to change the ribbon and toolbars to be vertical on Left or Right side of the screen?

I have a widescreen display (as most do) and 7 lines or nearly 25% of the screen has been used with the Ribbons, Toolbars, Menu bar etc leaving a uselessly narrow band for the presentation.

It would make a lot more sense if the ribbons / bars were to one side and then the blank screen space left after the top and bottom bars will be about the correct shape for a widescreen presentation.

How can I do this?

Many thanks
