Finding location of orriginal embeded image
Hello,
Someone gave me a thumb drive with about 500 images on it. They have created a power point slide show with about 50 of these images. I am to make a stylized video using these images and the power point slide show as an outline. I prefer not to have to rummage through all the images to find the ones used in the PP show. Is there a way to have PP tell me the name of the original image or better yet, like in some video editing software, right click on the image and have it point me to the location in the drive. Fingers crossed. Alt text is blank. Thx |

I don't believe there is any way to do that.

The whole point of embedding images is so that they are not tied to their source files. You may be able to extract the images from the powerpoint presentation using http://www.gmayor.com/extract_images_from_word.htm

Interestingly any image extracted still has the original exif info embedded. While this does not include the file path I can imagine an app that compared the exif data with data in files on a PC to find the matching path.
