Hi
We have a number of powerpoint presentations that are corrupt and ask to be repaired when opened in 2013. However if we open these same presentations in 2010 they open perfectly fine. We've managed to narrow down the issue generally to a single chart within the presentation that if you delete, the presentation is then fine again and will open in 2013. It also works if you deselect the data and re-select it - this also seems to fix the issue. What we can't work out is why it's doing it in the first place so we can avoid it happening. As you can imagine going through sometimes 40 odd slides with charts to find out which one is causing the issue requires a large amount of manual effort to fix the document. It appears on these corrupted charts that the data held in the embedded excel file is in a table rather than raw data and I'm thinking this might be the cause, due to how it's referencing the cell selection and then how 2013 is seeing the same data. (it changes the cell selections to table header for example rather than cell A1:A8). I was wondering if anyone had experienced a similar issue before? Thanks |
