Strange behaviour of embedded flash when moving powerpoint file from win 10 to win 7 pc
I am using powerpoint 2013 on both windows 10 and windows 7 pcs. After saving a powerpoint file with embedded flash content on a windows 10 pc and transferring the file to a windows 7 pc, the flash content seems to lose its 'identity'. The file opens ok, but the slides with flash content appear in a distorted low resolution form with a blank white strip at the top and bottom quarters of the screen (they do however function normally under show>run). When you right-click on the flash content and choose "properties" on the developer tab, the name of the embedded file is missing and other options such as "background colour" have reverted to the default values (although it still has "embedded" ticked). Open the same file again on a windows 10 pc and all behaves normally.
Out of interest I tried saving with powerpoint 2010 under win 10 and opened the file in pp 2010 on a win 7 pc and the exact same issue appears.
Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this? It appears to arise from differences in OS (a file path issue?) rather than versions of powerpoint.
