Default Place holder text box that keep text

Hi,
I would like to have a place holder text box that allow to add/change the text AND (this is where it becomes tricky) if it is not needed to change the text, the text stays visible in Slide Show mode.

Presently, if I don't add new text in the text box, the text is not visible in Slide Show mode.

Is it possible?

thanks in advance.

It's not possible to do that. Alternate placeholder text never shows in show mode.
