Hope you guys are well. I have created a spreadhseet (excel 2013) that will be used to open up PPSX files via hyperlinks.



Simply press the hyperlink and the PPSX opens. This works fine but in the PPSX file has an end now button which simply ends the show.

If I open the PPSX file normally and hit the end now button the PPSX closes and also closes PowerPoint 2013. However if I open the PPSX via a link from the spreadsheet and hit the end now button it does end the show but it keeps PowerPoint open with a grey screen.

Never seen anything like this and I've re created it on my home PC with the same issues.

It's as if the end now button is closing the PPSX but not the PowerPoint application.
Any ideas why this is happening and how to stop it and end the show and the powerpoint application? I know this can be done via vba but I would rather not do that, seems silly to also.

Give it a go, make an excel 2013 sheet with a link to a PPSX show that includes an end now button. When you select the link from the excel sheet and press end now on the presentation it will show you what I am experiencing.
