Default Selection Pane Missing in PowerPoint 2016

I have looked EVERYWHERE and apparently the "Selection Pane" for naming or reordering objects is MIA for the Mac version of PowerPoint 2016.

Am I missing something?

I see the "Reorder Objects" menu so Mac folks use this as the "Selection Pane?"

Default How to use the new Selection Pane in PowerPoint:mac 2016

It's very odd that they don't make it more explicit in the "What's New" window that pops after after an update. So once you have updated to 15.18 (released on 12 Jan 2016) you can find out how to use the new mac Selection Pane by reading this article that I just put together after having tested it:
