Can anyone help with some guidance on how to set controls on how high i could get a ball in PPT to bounce and for how long I can get it to bounce?
Thanks, Scott |

Scott, my understanding from your question is that you wish to animate a bouncing ball within PowerPoint and you would like to control how high that ball bounces.
If you are using the built-in "bounce" entrance animation, there is no way I know of to control the bounce height. Alternatively, you could use another entrance animation (e.g. fly-in from top) and edit the bounce time/duration under Effect Options, but again, this would not allow you to control bounce height. BEST CHOICE: Your best animation option is to select one of the motion path options--which includes a "bounce" option. Once you have applied this animation to your ball, PowerPoint will display a dotted line starting with a green arrow and ending with a red arrow. Do not move the green arrow (otherwise, your ball will "jump" to the new location when the animation begins), but feel free to move the red arrow to tweak your the ball's final location after bouncing. The dotted line is the bounce path. To edit the path (including bounce height and number of bounces), right-click on that dotted-line animation path and select Edit Points. Then drag the bold dots around to alter the animation path. To make it look realistic, you'll have to tweak the animation's timing as well as the effect settings (e.g. "Smooth Start" and "Smooth End"). To find these settings, open the Animation Pane, click the "Down" arrow next to the motion path animation you have created, and then select Effect Options. This brings up a different window than the button labeled "Effect Options" on the ribbon. |
