Embedding Excel chart problems
Hi and very many thanks in advance.
One of our users has Office 2013 on her laptop. When she creates a PowerPoint presentation with an embedded Excel chart, as soon as the ppt is saved, it will want to repair it immediately when it is next opened. The repair will result in loosing most of the slides. If the same ppt is opened in PowerPoint 2010 it opens no problem. If the same PowerPoint presentation is saved in 2010 and reopened in 2010 no problem. If it is saved in 2010, then opened in 2013 the repair screen comes up again. If we delete the slide with the Excel Chart in before we save it - the problem won't occur. Once it asks to be repaired on this laptop, it will need repairing on any other PC running office 2013. We have added trusted sites, turned off protection, disabled the Anti-Virus. Nothing. We have uninstalled / reinstalled Office 2103 and it is completely updated. If we edit the damaged ppt on PowerPoint 2010, copy the data for the charts in Excel 2010 and insert the data again by inserting a new chart, then save the PowerPoint, this will then open on both PowerPoint's. We have tried the data off-site and the same results occur!! Mike |
