Powerpoint 2008: How do I add an editable picture box in the background of a master layout?
I'm trying to add an editable picture box in the background of a master layout, where there are also going to be non-editable graphics over the top of it. Is this possible? At the moment it looks fine in the master layout but when applied to a presentation the picture box comes to the front and covers everything else.
Any thoughts? |

If you mean the picture is a picture placeholder then it is not really possible. Placeholders always jump to the front. In the PC version you can use an ActivX box but they are not (I think) available in Macs.
You can set the background and then edit it on each slide but that would be a lot more clunky |

many thanks for the response. I've got access to a PC with Powerpoint 2013 on it, will it work on this? I only ask as I've heard that ActivX has been taken off more recent Office software. (I hope this isn't the case though).
