Any Idea How I Can Recreate This Using Powerpoint?
I would like to recreate this graphic using PowerPoint. Of course I would use a different background image but I'm stumped as how to do the cutout look. Thanks! |

I'd be pretty sure this was done in 2013 (2014 Mac) where you can use the Merge Shapes tool on text.
In 2010 / 2011 the equivalent tool (Combine Shapes) is well hidden and also does not work with text. |

GREAT information
I'm not real PowerPoint proficient but I would like to explore your suggestion. Any idea where I could locate some additional info or video on "merge shapes tool on text."

Actually... I found an explanation and you were absolutely RIGHT! It is a "Merge Shapes" technique.
Thanks again and I appreciate you steering me in the right direction! |

Well I guess I spoke a little too soon...
I can get the see through text effect but I can't seem to get the clear see through line border effect. Ideas? |
