Default Copying Slide With Custom Layout To New Presenation

Hi all,

As the subject eludes I'm trying to simplify the process of copying a slide that is using a custom layout to a completely new presentation and keep that layout information.

Right now I have to copy the Master Layouts, paste into the new presentation. Paste the slides in, then reapply the appropriate layout. Kind of a bear.

My coworkers are not nearly that savvy and are asking me if there is a way to simplify this procedure.

Is there a way to "Copy With Layout" ?

Thanks,
G

You can copy the slide RIGHT click in the thumbnail pane of the receiving presentation and choose the "Keep Source Format Paste" option

Alternatively use New Slide > Reuse Slides and open the required slides then tick "Keep Source Format" before adding the slide(s)

Jeez, I've been using PPT for years and never noticed either of those options. TBH though I haven't generally used layouts before so this is a new problem for me.

Thanks I'll put both to use and see which is easier for our needs.
