Question Can not remove what looks like a split screen from my blank powerpoint slide.

I must have clicked on something that caused what appears to be a split screen on my blank slide. It is two lines that split the screen in half horizontally and vertically. Every time I open power point, it's there. How do I remove it?

Are you sure the screen is really split. Maybe you have enabled guides which by default would show centred H & V. They don't actually split the screen though just give the user a guide to positions on the screen for layout.

Righ Click a blank area > Grids and guides and untick "Display Drawing Guides"

Good.

Guides are in fact pretty useful so it's worth spending a few minutes working out how they work and how to add / delete them.
