Default sequential fly-in to cells of a table

I've used animation to allow various bullet points of text fly in, or otherwise appear in a defined sequence.

I would like to be able to do that with various cells within a table (originally created in Excel), but it seems that I can only select the entire table to fly in or appear. Other than creating a separate table and slide for each number to appear, does anyone have a solution?
