Powerpoint 2013-Narration Playback Cuts Off
Hello,
My office computer was recently upgraded with Office 2013. I use the narration recording function in Powerpoint almost daily to record presentations / trainings, so I am not a novice user. Before the conversion to Office 2013 I never had any issues with with recording narrations (I was previously using Office 2010). I attempted to record a slide for the first time yesterday and while I can record my voice for the length of the narration, the actual playback cuts off at around 32 seconds. I have done multiple test files since then and the same thing happens every time. I record the narration as usual, but when I playback the audio my voice cuts off at around 32 seconds. It's almost as if Powerpoint has this maximum time of 32 seconds set somewhere, but I cannot find where to change it. Like I said, I never ran into any issues when I was using Powerpoint 2010. I'm in a bit of a panic as I need to complete a recording today and our IT support is backed up. Any help from the Powerpoint pros out there would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thank you! |

I guess there is no fix or setting to check for this problem. I have an instructor at the community college I work at who is having the same problem on her desktop. It is fine on her laptop, but it cuts off after about 40 seconds on her new desktop.
