Default Video Question

I have short video inserted into one of my slides. I would like it to fade in then out near the end. The fade settings have been made (I even formated the vid with fades in my video editor) but the effect I'm getting doesn't get what I'm looking for....

Before the video begins to run it start with a static first frame of the video before the video plays and ends the same way....with a static last frame. Ruins the flow and fluidity that I need to have.

I have a "fade into" transition for the slide and for the following slide.

Can anyone tell me if there a way to avoid those static frames?
